Marketing & Social Media Intern
Housatonic Habitat for Humanity’s Internship Program provides the opportunity for a motivated college student to learn about both a Non-Profit and Retail organization utilizing their marketing, social media and sales skills to help the organization to grow. This position will assist the Marketing Director as well as the ReStore General Manager with social media, campaign and sponsor development, event planning and execution, sales analytics and reporting, retail displays, research and e-Commerce selling.
Examples of tasks include:
- Create engaging content for all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) for Housatonic Habitat and ReStore including photos, live videos and reels.
- Assist with the planning and promotion of our gala and other marketing events, including sponsor outreach, securing raffle items, creating social media graphics and writing press releases.
- E-commerce selling: manage and optimize online product listings, including uploading new products, correcting data, and ensuring accurate imagery and descriptions.
- Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis on pricing, promotional trends, and consumer behavior across platforms like Amazon and Shopify.
- Create and support sales reporting and analytics.
Qualifications:
Education: College Junior or Senior preferred

- Strong organization skills with good attention to details
- Ability to work independently with enthusiasm is required
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Proficient in Canva, Facebook and Instagram social media platforms
- Motivated, dependable and flexible
- Ability to take visually pleasing photographs and videos with smart phone technology
- Advanced computer skills.
