We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead our outreach to taxi companies in the Seattle area, helping them navigate this industry-wide change and adopt the CiRide Drivers Smart Taximeter.
The Opportunity
This is more than a marketing role; it is a unique opportunity to drive business development in a rapidly changing regulatory environment. You will be the face of CiRide to taxi fleet owners and dispatch agencies, educating them on the benefits of our system and guiding them through the approval process mandated by the City of Seattle and King County. You will bridge the gap between our innovative technology and the practical needs of taxi operators .
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting: Identify, target, and engage taxi fleet owners and Regional Dispatch Agencies (RDAs) in the Seattle/King County area to present the CiRide Smart Taximeter solution.
Regulatory Consultation: Act as a subject matter expert on the new Seattle and King County smart taximeter regulations. Guide prospects on how CiRide's technology meets the upcoming deadlines and compliance requirements, including the mandatory Certificate of Conformance and integration of data standards.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in the taxi industry, acting as their trusted advisor through the transition process.
Marketing & Communications: Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns to reach the taxi industry. Create compelling sales materials, case studies, and presentations that clearly articulate the ROI of the CiRide Smart Taximeter, including its ability to handle flat rates, upfront fares, and automated receipting .
Sales Strategy: Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing contracts. Negotiate terms and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients.
Industry Liaison: Represent CiRide at industry events and meetings with regulatory bodies (e.g., City of Seattle Department of Finance and Administrative Services). Stay abreast of any changes to SMC 6.311 and KCC 6.65 that could impact our clients .
Desired Qualifications
Proven Sales & PR Experience: Experience in business development, public relations, or sales, ideally within the transportation, technology, or automotive industries.
Regulatory Knowledge (A Plus): Familiarity with the for-hire transportation regulations in Seattle/King County, including the rules on taximeters and smart taximeters, is a significant advantage .
Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, compelling terms to a non-technical audience.
Self-Starter: Highly motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Relationship Builder: Excellent interpersonal skills and a knack for building trust with business owners and fleet operators.
Technical Acumen: Understanding of GPS-based systems, application dispatch systems (ADS), and mobility data specifications is a plus.
