About the Role:
- The Central Clerkship Administrator provides support to departments at Sinai Hospital to implement and administer required clerkships in the George Washington MD program curriculum. This is a student facing position that will work collaboratively with the clerkship director and faculty in the supported department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all processes are in accordance with accreditation requirements and school policies.
- Ensure all physicians teaching and evaluating students have faculty appointments.
- Be familiar with accreditation standards and school policies.
- Stay current with best practices and participate in academic societies and committee meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date clerkship materials (syllabus, educational schedule, website, etc. )
- Administer and monitor evaluation of all aspects of the clerkship program.
- Assist, solicit and collect evaluations of students by faculty
- Assist Director in compiling grades.
- Assist the clerkship director in monitoring and tracking progress and completion of clerkship
- Compile relevant clerkship data and prepare reports for the program director
- Support medical students taking the clerkship
- Manage orientation of clerkship students including preparing orientation packets
- Onboard students ensuring they meet requirements for each site (EMR, training requirements, etc. )
- Assign students to sites or patient care teams.
- Set-up and remind students to complete duty hours and clinical encounters in relevant databases.
- Handle student queries and requests.
- Manage aspects of the learning environment and learning activities to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
- Schedule, secure and book rooms for simulation experiences and educational sessions and exams.
- Order, coordinate, and proctor shelf exams
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Associate's degree preferred
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience
