Visual Itinerant Teacher
Brevard Public Schools is seeking an experienced Visual Itinerant Teacher to provide accessibility, specialized resources, and direct services to visually-impaired K-12 students throughout the District.
Requirements:
- FLDOE Certification in Visually Impaired K-12
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Expert in writing compliant, appropriate IEPs aligned with IDEA/state rules
- Skilled in completing accurate Matrix of Services
- Strong organization and deadline management
- Excellent written/verbal communication in collaborative settings
- Customer-focused
- Familiar with IEP systems (PEER/FOCUS), countywide ESE programs
- Detail-oriented, flexible, team-minded, and able to support varied tasks

Starting instructional pay is $50,450 per year, plus there is a pay supplement for an advanced degree.
Please note salary is based on verifiable years of experience as per District guidelines.

Our voters passed a millage in 2022 and all instructional staff, from zero to 19+ years of experience, will receive a supplement. The pay ranges based on years of experience, but for a teacherwith 19+ years experience, that's approximately an additional $8,110 (pay and supplement are prorated based on start date) in your pocket! This raises the overall compensation higher than our neighboring school districts.
