Electrical Service Engineer

This is an exciting position for an entry level engineer looking to gain valuable practical experience and a strong foundation for future growth. We make custom designed Induction and Resistance Heating Systems. Our equipment treats a wide range of product examples are: turbines, axles, sockets, bullets and shells, bearings, fuses, water valves, faucets, radiators, advanced composite parts, lawnmower blades, tilling parts, knives, saws, mining bits, tree cutting bits, brazier underwires, soup, crackers, wire of all types for conductors, power delivery, shopping carts, springs, biscuits, fiber optics, bullet proof glass and sapphire, silicon for Photovoltaic Cells, Platinum, Harvester parts, Tractor parts, automotive parts for the most advanced high end engines, etc. etc. etc. Most everything gets heated at some point in its production process and we provide that equipment using advanced induction and resistance heating methods.

Description of work duties:

  • Will work within the service department and travel extensively to exciting customer locations mostly in North America to start up, service and maintain Inductotherm Group Induction and Resistance Heating Equipment
  • Will work on site at Radyne’s fully air-conditioned facility in Milwaukee to repair, refurbish and upgrade customer equipment
  • Will conduct training sessions with customers
  • Will work from time to time on special projects for the engineering and process development departments

Qualifications:

  • BSEE or Associate Degree with equivalent experience required
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Must Know how to use Oscilloscope, Meters, High Voltage Tester.
  • Must have good technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Must love to travel extensively 50-75%
  • Electromechanical Knowledge and Induction or heat treating experience a big plus
  • Familiarity with working on high voltage and high power circuits a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with PLC's and troubleshooting a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience troubleshooting Motor controls and Drives a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with PC troubleshooting a plus
