Severson Porter Law is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and proactive Legal Operations Coordinator or Paralegal to help manage the firm’s internal workflow, client service systems, administrative processes, litigation support, and day-to-day legal operations.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and capable of bringing structure, follow-through, and accountability to a busy law office. The Legal Operations Coordinator will work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure that matters move efficiently, deadlines are tracked, clients are communicated with appropriately, and firm systems are used consistently.
The role includes meaningful litigation support, including coordinating calendars and hearing dates, assisting with court deadlines, preparing draft pleadings and correspondence, organizing exhibits and case materials, and supporting attorneys in moving litigation matters forward efficiently and professionally.
The right candidate will be professional, discreet, service-minded, and able to take ownership of recurring operational responsibilities while also helping improve how the firm functions.
Primary Responsibilities
The Legal Operations Coordinator will assist with matter intake, client onboarding, deadline tracking, document workflow, file organization, internal task management, litigation support, and coordination between attorneys, staff, courts, opposing counsel, and clients.
Responsibilities may include:
Managing new client intake and onboarding processes.
Coordinating matter setup, file organization, engagement letters, and related administrative steps.
Providing litigation support, including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and attorney conferences.
Tracking litigation deadlines, court dates, discovery deadlines, filing deadlines, and follow-up tasks.
Drafting and preparing routine legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, notices, affidavits, exhibit lists, and related litigation documents for attorney review.
Assisting with electronic filing, service of documents, and coordination with courts, court administration, opposing counsel, and process servers.
Organizing pleadings, exhibits, discovery, case materials, and litigation files.
Monitoring workflows, deadlines, task lists, and follow-up items.
Helping ensure client communications are timely, professional, and properly documented.
Supporting attorneys and staff with scheduling, document management, and matter coordination.
Maintaining and improving firm systems, checklists, templates, and standard operating procedures.
Assisting with billing coordination, accounts receivable follow-up, and administrative reporting.
Helping track open matters and ensure that work is moving forward appropriately.
Identifying operational bottlenecks and helping implement practical solutions.
Supporting a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service across the firm.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a law firm, professional services firm, or similar administrative, paralegal, legal assistant, or operations role is preferred but not required or the right candidate.
Litigation support experience is strongly preferred but not required for the right candidate.
Experience with court scheduling, e-filing, pleadings, discovery, deadline tracking, and legal drafting is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
Comfort using technology, case management systems, Microsoft Office, Adobe, e-filing systems, and related office tools.
Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and follow through without constant supervision.
Experience with legal billing, client intake, document management, or law firm operations is a plus.

Compensation
Pay range is $25.00–$35.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability.
