Frontend Engineer

🚨 Hiring: Frontend Engineer (Part-Time Contract) 10-20 hours per week.

We’re looking for a frontend engineer to join Mutuals and help us build the future of real-world participation.

Compensation: $1,000/month stipend (part-time contract) with the opportunity to stay on full time long-term and earn equity if it’s a great fit.

We’re ideally looking for:

• A college student, rising senior, recent graduate, or early-career engineer
• Strong React Native experience
• Experience shipping a mobile app to production
• Experience working on consumer-facing products
• Strong product sense and attention to design
• Someone who can move quickly and execute independently

About Mutuals:

We’re building the intelligence layer for real-world participation — helping people discover experiences, build communities, coordinate plans, and connect with the right people.

We launched our app about a month ago and are already seeing strong traction across San Francisco. We’re now building major features including:

• Ticketing
• Host tools
• Communities
• Personalized recommendations
• Social coordination features

You’ll work directly with our engineering team, which includes UC Berkeley graduates and engineers with experience at companies such as Amazon, Alphabet, Gap, and venture-backed startups. Our app is already live and gaining traction, and we’re looking for someone to help ship major product updates. This role will work closely with and report directly to our lead frontend engineer, an experienced engineer who will provide guidance while giving you the opportunity to own and ship meaningful features.
