The Weekend Direct Care Professional (DCP) position allows you to work part-time hours (30-32 hrs/weekend) on weekends between Friday evening and Sunday evening and you receive full benefits.
As a Direct Care Professional (DCP), you are responsible for meeting the emotional and physical needs of the people we support, being a positive role model, and helping them meet their personal goals. You will be assisting them with their daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation, and medical needs. You will also accompany them on a variety of recreational and leisure-time activities.
Examples of tasks completed on shift:
*Some tasks may or may not be completed in different homes. This is not a comprehensive list.
- Preparing and passing medications (we will train you)
- Assisting residents at meal times
- Use of medical equipment such as hoyers, G/J tubes, blood pressure cuffs, oxygen tanks, ostomy bags etc. (we will train you)
- Completing range of motion and other therapies
- Assisting residents with personal cares
- Finding fun activities in and outside of the house to do with residents
- Advocating for residents during routine doctor appointments
- Building relationships with residents
Rate of Pay:
$20.50-22.50/hour for Friday 2pm-10pm, Saturday/Sunday 6am-10pm--dependent on placement location's Rate Exception Differential, if applicable.
$22.75-24.75/hour for Friday & Saturday awake overnight shifts 10pm-6am--dependent on placement location's Rate Exception Differential, if applicable.
Employment Type:
30-32 hours/week with full benefits, 4 shifts worked between Friday at 2pm and Sunday at 10pm.
$18.50/hour for initial training
**Range listed above is due to $.50-$2.00/hour House Specific Rate Exception Differentials at specific homes!
**The Awake Night Overnight pay rates apply to the hours worked between 10p - 6a
***$2/hour Weekend Differentials apply to all hours worked between 2p on Friday through 10p on Sunday.
Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) allows you to earn up to $2000 for schooling.

Qualifications:
-Must have a driver's license if you are 18+ years of age
-Must have access to reliable transportation (unless a student at the UMN, UWRF, NCU or Bethlehem College & Seminary and interested in the Employee Transportation Program)
- Have no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Have a clean criminal background record
- Have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
