UW Recreation is a department within the Division of Student Life. We provide safe, accessible, and dynamic recreation experiences to engage students in growth and wellbeing. UW Recreation serves over one million students, faculty, and staff each academic year through informal and formal recreation, including fitness and sports classes, intramural and club sports, outdoor education, mindfulness programs, and more.

Job Description
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Operations Leads are responsible for the safe and effective operation of the IMA and related facilities. Responsibilities include opening and closing the IMA, Central Issue Area, and laundry operations; conducting facility head counts; enforcing facility policies; completing facility inspections and addressing safety concerns; coordinating court and activity space operations; supporting special events and sports camps; monitoring equipment inventory and checkout processes; assisting with membership renewals, locker rentals, and program registrations through recreation management software; troubleshooting operational issues; maintaining facility signage; and providing day-to-day direction and support to student Operations Assistants. In the absence of full-time staff, Operations Leads assume responsibility for operational decision-making, conflict resolution, incident response, emergency response coordination, and policy enforcement, playing a critical role in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-operated environment for all patrons and participants.

Minimum Qualifications
University of Washington matriculated student
Previous work experience in UW Recreation with Member Services
Certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from either the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association or must obtain within 30 days of hire
Ability to work a variety of IMA operating hours.
