Private Equity Intern

Overview:

Regal Healthcare Capital Partners is a healthcare services focused private equity firm with over $1 billion of committed capital and assets under management. Regal seeks to partner with leading healthcare entrepreneurs that benefit from Regal's strategic, financial, and operational expertise.

Regal is rapidly growing and looking for talented Full-Time Interns to join our team from September 2026 to June 2027, with an opportunity for a return offer at the end of the internship, based on performance. Interns will play a significant role in supporting senior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Regal is seeking highly motivated and outgoing individuals who want to identify, source, and execute investment transactions, and provide valuable ongoing portfolio company support and assistance in growing the company's footprint. To that end, key responsibilities include:

Deal Origination

  • Research and develop a proprietary database of healthcare services companies for given subsectors
  • Conduct initial outreach to these companies (via emails, calls, etc.) to introduce and market Regal, and set up meetings with Regal's investment team and the investment targets
  • Aggressively drive proprietary processes down the funnel through thoughtful and value-added engagement with the business founders and executives

Deal Diligence and Execution

  • Conduct research and diligence on market, competition, company performance, and differentiation
  • Draft initial investment committee reports
  • Interface with target company executives and third-party designees to obtain appropriate information to support decision making on potential investment
  • Prepare investment committee overview

Portfolio Company Support

  • Support growth strategy development and execution, including but not limited to footprint expansion, process improvement, financial planning & analysis, M&A, sourcing and execution, executive recruiting, and digital marketing

Job Requirements:

Regal expects intern candidates will possess a strong record of academic achievement at the undergraduate level from a leading institution. Specific expectations include:

  • 3.6 GPA or above
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts
  • Great work ethic and team player
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills

Compensation: $67K pro-rated
