Position Summary
Marion School is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K–8. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction, collaborate with general education staff, develop and implement IEPs, and help ensure students receive the services and support they need to be successful academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction and intervention services to students with disabilities
- Conduct assessments and collect data to monitor student progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, related service providers, and administration
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support inclusive educational practices and accommodations within general education settings
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Montana Teaching License with Special Education endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of IDEA, special education procedures, and IEP development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with students across multiple disability categories
- Knowledge of MTSS and evidence-based interventions
- Experience with progress monitoring and data-driven instruction
