Government vs. Civilian Pathways

This session guides students through the key tradeoffs between pursuing careers in government agencies versus civilian organizations within the national security sector, including differences in culture, compensation, advancement, and mission. Students will also explore what mid-career transitions between the two pathways look like and how early career decisions can shape long-term trajectory. The session is designed to help students make informed, intentional choices as they begin targeting employers during recruiting season.
