Position Overview
LetsTrade® is looking for outgoing, reliable and energetic Marketing Ambassadors to help represent our brand at local events, markets and community activations.
Marketing Ambassadors will be responsible for engaging with attendees, explaining how the LetsTrade® app works, encouraging app downloads, supporting social media content and creating a welcoming experience at our booth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking to people, attending community events, being involved in content creation and helping grow a local marketplace app.
About LetsTrade
LetsTrade® is a local marketplace app that allows people to buy, sell, trade and barter goods and services. Our goal is to create a more community focused way for people to exchange items, support local businesses and connect with others in their area.
Key Responsibilities
-Represent LetsTrade® in a positive and professional way at local events
-Engage with event attendees and explain the purpose of the LetsTrade® app
-Encourage attendees to download the app and create an account
-Help users understand how to list items, make offers and trade through the app
-Assist with booth set up, booth breakdown and event organization
-Support event activities such as giveaways, games and QR code promotions
-Help with social media content during events and activations
-Be comfortable being involved in photos and videos for LetsTrade® marketing content
-Assist with app support for potential businesses interested in joining LetsTrade®
-Answer basic questions about the app and direct more detailed questions to the LetsTrade® team
-Help maintain an energetic, clean and welcoming booth space
-Create excitement around LetsTrade® and encourage people to participate
Qualifications
Friendly, outgoing and comfortable talking to new people
Strong communication skills
Reliable, punctual and professional
Able to work in a fast paced event environment
Comfortable being on camera for social media content
Interest in community events, local businesses, thrifting, trading or marketplaces
Basic knowledge of social media and mobile apps preferred
Schedule
This is an as needed, part time event based position. Hours will vary depending on event schedules, business needs and ambassador availability.
Most events may take place on weekends, evenings or during local community events.
Compensation
Pay is $15 per hour. Incentives for increases and career growth for positive performance
Ideal Candidate
The ideal Marketing Ambassador is confident, approachable and excited to connect with the community. They should be comfortable starting conversations, helping people use the app, supporting content creation and creating a fun experience around LetsTrade®.
