Accounts Payable Specialist

Brasington Bailey Contractors is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, three-way matching, filing, timeliness of data entry, and ensuring accuracy of all accounts payable.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities

  • Receiving and organizing all incoming invoices and delivery tickets
  • Tracking and obtaining missing delivery tickets
  • Three-way matching of all invoices to purchase orders and delivery tickets
  • Requesting and tracking vendor credits as required
  • Maintaining all vendor and accounts payable files
  • Verifying subcontractor rates, contracts, and insurance
  • Verifying vendor W-9s and correct contact information
  • Reconciling vendor statements
  • Entering credit card charges and reconciling statement
  • Various accounting activities as required
  • Additional office duties as required

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Construction related experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with accounting software systems
  • Experience with accounts payable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow standard filing procedures
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional attitude and dependable work habits
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
