Position Overview
As an on-call interpreter & translator, you will provide live interpretation services and support urgent translation requests. You will be available during designated hours and respond quickly to client needs as they arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and confidential interpretation services via phone and zoom
- Deliver culturally appropriate communication support for clients and organizations
- Respond promptly and ethical standards in all assignments
- Support urgent translation and language service needs as required
Qualifications
- Fluency in English and at least on additional language
- Minimum 1 year of professional interpretation and/or translation experience
- CHI certification is preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills
- Reliable internet connection, computer, and phone access
- Able to respond to assignments within 5 minutes while on standby
