Junior Project Controller

Junior Project Controller

Fabbrica LLC | Windsor, CT | Full-Time | In Person

Are you someone who enjoys finding the story behind the numbers?

Fabbrica LLC is looking for an early-career professional who is naturally curious about data, budgets, cost trends, forecasting, and how financial information helps a business make smarter decisions. This role is a strong fit for a recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field who has completed an internship, worked for a year or two in accounting, finance, economics, cost analysis, or data-focused work, and is ready to grow into a meaningful role within a construction project finance team.

At Fabbrica, we design, engineer, and manufacture custom building façade systems. Our work is highly detailed, highly collaborative, and highly project-driven. That means the numbers matter. Project budgets, material costs, purchase orders, cash flow, invoices, and forecasts all help tell us where a project stands and what needs attention.

This is a role for someone who enjoys accuracy, but also likes asking “why?”
Why did a budget change?
Why is the cost trending differently than expected?
Why does the forecast look different this month?
What does the data tell us before it becomes a bigger issue?

You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone with strong Excel skills, a strong foundation in accounting, finance, or economics, and the desire to learn how project financial control works inside a real design and manufacturing business.

You may be a great fit if you have:

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

One to three years of related experience, which may include internships, entry-level accounting, finance, cost analysis, economics, reporting, budgeting, or data analysis work.

Strong Excel skills, including comfort with lookups, SUMIF/SUMIFS, pivot tables, and organizing data clearly.

A genuine interest in numbers, budgets, forecasting, and using data to support decision-making.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential financial and project information.

A curious and collaborative mindset.

The ability to communicate clearly with accounting, project management, purchasing, design, and leadership teams.

SAP experience is helpful, but not required. We are willing to teach the right person.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you will help support the financial side of active projects by working with budgets, cash flows, forecasts, invoices, purchase orders, and project reporting.

Your work may include:

Updating and analyzing project budgets and cash flows to support the monthly close and reporting.

Reviewing contract values, billing checks, cash flow, invoicing, and project forecasts.

Partnering with project managers, accounting, purchasing, and design teams during budget reviews and reconciliations.

Monitoring material budgets and reviewing purchase orders to help keep projects aligned with budget expectations.

Participating in monthly project budget reviews.

Reviewing production and site-related project budgets.

Assisting with international invoices, duties, tariffs, and related documentation.

Supporting month-end close activities for the financial statements.

Over time, you will learn how project financial data connects to real-world design, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and construction outcomes.
