About Our Younger Toddler Program
Our younger toddler classroom serves children ages 12-18 months during one of the most dynamic developmental windows. First steps, first words, and a growing sense of independence. We maintain small group settings where every child receives personalized attention from consistent caregivers.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities aligned with toddler development
- Foster early language skills through songs, storytelling, and responsive communication
- Facilitate safe, supervised opportunities for gross and fine motor development
- Establish and maintain consistent daily routines that promote security and confidence
- Document developmental observations and milestones
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication
- Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom
- Encourage emerging independence and self-help skills
- Support peer interactions among newly mobile children
- Apply understanding of executive functioning development in daily activities and routines
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, required
- Prior experience with toddlers (12-18 months) preferred
- Valid Pennsylvania clearances: FBI, State Police, and Child Abuse (or ability to obtain)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to complete upon hire)

- Emotional intelligence for working with toddlers and families
- Resilience for dynamic environments and various developmental challenges
- Multi-tasking skills to handle classroom demands and individualized attention simultaneously
- Understanding of executive functioning skills and how they emerge in toddlerhood
- Patient, nurturing approach in dynamic classroom environments
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfort with physical activity and floor-based engagement throughout the day
- Flexible and adaptable personality
- Positive attitude and team spirit
Great to Have
- Understanding of Montessori or early childhood best practices
- Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English)
