Skill Set
- Must hold a valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Washington
- Must be able to think outside the box and be creative with treatment plans, when necessary
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be proficient with computer skills

Responsibilities and Duties
- Meet with patients and identify needs and set goals
- Devise a detailed treatment plan to achieve the individual needs and goals of the patient
- Implement therapy treatment according to the plan of care
- Educate and encourage patients through the treatment process
- Monitor ongoing effectiveness of treatment and collaborate with the patient's medical team and other therapists
- Communicate any significant change in the patient's function, behavior, and tolerance to treatment to the referring attending provider
- Modify/update treatment goals to be functional, measurable, patient-related, and reflect key limiting factors
- Evaluate the effects of therapy and keep detailed records of patient appointments and progress
- Comply with federal and state regulations
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Discharge planning
- Provide ongoing education to physicians, patients, family/caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Document according to standards set by the department and regulatory agencies and complete documentation within the department’s established time frames.
- Communicate pertinent patient information to ensure the best possible follow-through of care
- Communicate in a clear and timely manner
- Supervise PTAs and support staff in accordance with Washington State regulations
Ideal Candidate
- Experienced with worker’s compensation claims
- Experience overseeing PTAs and Athletic Trainers
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus
