About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, articulate recent graduate to join our Accounts Receivable team. This isn't a back-office data-entry role — it's a frontline position that requires someone who can pick up the phone, command a conversation, and professionally represent our company while recovering outstanding balances.

In Person Daily - Midtown Manhattan Location

What You'll Do

  • Handle 40–60 outbound collection calls per day with professionalism and purpose
  • Negotiate full, acceptable, or immediate payment arrangements on delinquent accounts
  • Plan and execute a course of action for recovering payments based on account history and risk level
  • Follow up on requests from customers and superiors within their requested timelines — no ball gets dropped
  • Identify and flag chronically problematic accounts, bringing patterns to the attention of team leads and management with recommendations for resolution
  • Maintain detailed timelines & notes
  • Research and resolve billing disputes and complaints by coordinating across internal teams
  • Build genuine trust with customers to ease the payment process and preserve the business relationship
  • Monitor aging reports and prioritize outreach based on days outstanding and balance size
  • Escalate unresolved accounts to senior staff as appropriate

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (May 2024 / 2025 graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills — this is non-negotiable
  • Professional, confident phone presence capable of sustaining high call volume
  • Proven ability to negotiate payment terms while maintaining customer rapport
  • Strong attention to detail — you take notes, you follow through, you remember what you promised
  • Collaborative mindset; comfortable escalating issues and working with superiors toward solutions
  • Basic proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP or AR software is a plus
