The Marketing Assistant for Photography / Videography is a student staff member of Student Recreation & Wellness Services. This role supports Student Recreation and Wellness Services by attending live events and capturing moments to produce high-quality images and visual media to promote departmental publications, promotional materials, and aid overall marketing campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Capture high-quality photos/videos at department wide events that such as Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Fitness Programs, Group Exercise Classes, Aquatic Events, and many other events.
  • Edit and submit content by appropriate time deadlines.
  • Deliver quality customer service to all patrons, program participants, and visitors
  • Attend marketing team meetings and trainings as required
  • Maintain reliability, creativity, and attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience with photography and/or videography (portfolio, Instagram, or sample work preferred)
  • Ability to use personal photography and/or video equipment effectively.
  • Access to use high resolution camera (Mirrorless, DSLR, etc.) during events. Limited camera equipment may be available from the Department.
  • Access to use personal Mobile Device if needed to capture content
  • Basic knowledge of photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Strong communication and professionalism when interacting with staff and participants
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to follow branding, accessibility, and usage guidelines
  • Organized, responsible, and detail-oriented 
  • Must be able to work independently
