  • Location:  Franklin & Warner Area Resource Centers Hours:    
  • Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week 
  • Salary Description: $19.29 per hour

A Day in Life as a Mobile Intake Staff member:
 

As a Mobile Intake Staff member, you’ll serve as an important part of our Franklin & Warner Area Resource Centers team. This position travels to multiple towns and locations on a set schedule to meet with participants and provide Fuel Assistance Program (FAP) and Electric Assistance Program (EAP) intake services. When not meeting with participants, you’ll continue processing FAP/EAP applications in a timely and accurate manner. Your day will involve:

  •  Traveling to multiple towns and locations based on a set schedule to meet with participants and deliver FAP and EAP intake services in community-based settings.
  •  Conducting initial participant interviews and intake appointments in person or over the phone, including verifying eligibility factors.
  •  Explaining available Community Action programs and eligibility requirements and assisting participants with accessing appropriate services.
  •  Building and maintaining positive relationships with local welfare offices, community partners, and other service providers to encourage collaboration and mutual referrals.
  •  Assisting with operating and maintaining the food pantry at the Franklin Area Resource Center. (Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Your role will directly contribute to a positive participant experience, strong community partnerships, and the overall operation of the area resource centers.

Qualifications to Be a Mobile Intake Staff member:

To excel in this role, you’ll need: 

Education: High school diploma or equivalency credential minimum. Associate’s degree or higher preferred

Experience: One year of prior office or customer service experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Frequent travel within the community is required. Candidates must maintain a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and adequate automobile insurance.
