Administrative Assistant -District Attorney
Monroe County is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Administrative Assistant to join the District Attorney’s Office. This position provides critical administrative and operational support while serving as a primary point of contact for the public, law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and court personnel. Responsibilities include maintaining records and case files, preparing and processing legal documents, managing correspondence, entering and updating data, monitoring court calendars, conducting criminal history and driver’s license checks, filing civil judgments and evidence release paperwork, and supporting the efficient daily operations of the office. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of clerical or administrative support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency with computer software, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, maintain accurate records, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. A successful criminal background check is required.
