Position Summary
PI Midlantic is seeking a strategic, creative, and results-oriented Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of internal and external communications initiatives. This role is responsible for strengthening the PI Midlantic brand, elevating thought leadership, supporting business development efforts, and enhancing engagement with clients, prospects, partners, and employees.
The Communications Manager will collaborate closely with leadership, consulting, customer success, and sales teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels while driving awareness of PI Midlantic's expertise and solutions.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional storyteller, content creator, and communications strategist who understands how to translate complex business and talent optimization concepts into compelling messages that inspire action.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that support PI Midlantic's business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and voice across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with leadership to communicate organizational priorities, initiatives, and accomplishments.
- Monitor communication effectiveness and recommend improvements.
Content Development & Thought Leadership:
- Create and manage high-quality content including articles, blogs, newsletters, white papers, case studies, presentations, and client success stories.
- Support executive thought leadership initiatives through content creation and content distribution.
- Translate workforce, leadership, and talent optimization insights into engaging and actionable content.
- Maintain an editorial calendar aligned with business goals and market trends.
Digital Marketing & Social Media:
- Manage company communication channels including website content, email campaigns, social media platforms, and digital publications.
- Develop social media strategies that increase brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Monitor digital analytics and optimize content performance.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns that support events, webinars, workshops, and business development initiatives.
Client & Partner Communications:
- Develop communication materials that support client onboarding, engagement, retention, and success.
- Assist in the creation of client-facing reports, presentations, and educational resources.
- Support communication efforts related to consulting engagements, training programs, and organizational initiatives.
- Strengthen relationships with strategic partners and industry associations through effective communication programs.
Internal Communications:
- Support employee communication initiatives that foster alignment, engagement, and collaboration.
- Develop internal announcements, updates, and organizational communications.
- Promote company culture, values, and employee recognition programs.
Public Relations & Brand Management:
- Identify opportunities to increase media visibility and industry recognition.
- Support public relations initiatives, awards submissions, speaking engagements, and event promotion.
- Manage brand standards and ensure consistency across all materials.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging communication opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, content strategy, or related roles.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Proven experience creating compelling content across multiple formats and channels.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience in consulting, professional services, HR technology, leadership development, organizational development, or talent management industries.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, email marketing, and social media management.
- Experience supporting executive communications and thought leadership initiatives.
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, and content management platforms.
