Founding Software Engineering Intern
Serv is an early-stage startup building technology for the restaurant industry. We are looking for a Founding Software Engineering Intern to work directly with the founders and help build the core technology powering our platform.
This is an opportunity to gain hands-on startup experience, take ownership of meaningful projects, and help shape the technical foundation of the company as we prepare for our first customer deployments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve backend services and APIs
- Develop features that support data processing and analytics
- Work with cloud infrastructure, databases, and internal tools
- Prototype and test new product ideas
- Contribute to system architecture
- Help deploy and monitor software in real-world environments
- Collaborate directly with founders on product and engineering strategy
Qualifications
- Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable learning new technologies and working in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in startups, AI, computer vision, hardware, or the restaurant industry
- Experience building personal projects, research projects, startups, or other technical work is preferred
- Familiarity with AWS, React, FastAPI, Node.js, Raspberry Pi, computer vision, or machine learning is a plus
