Summer SHSAT Instructor
Summer SHSAT & SAT Instructor Opportunities – New York City
We are seeking exceptional educators to join our summer teaching team on a contract basis from July 6 through August 18. Our program serves highly motivated middle and high school students preparing for the SHSAT and SAT, and we are looking for instructors who can inspire academic excellence, build student confidence, and help students achieve top standardized test scores.
This opportunity is ideal for Ivy League graduates, current Ivy League students, and other outstanding candidates from highly selective universities who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and a passion for education.
Qualifications:
Graduate or current student from an Ivy League university or other highly selective institution
SAT score of 1550+ required
Strong academic background in mathematics, reading, writing, or standardized test preparation
Prior teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or classroom experience preferred
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to engage students in both small-group and classroom settings
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Passion for helping students achieve their educational goals and gain admission to competitive academic programs
Responsibilities:
Teach SHSAT and/or SAT preparation classes
Deliver engaging, structured, and results-oriented lessons
Explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner
Monitor student progress and provide academic support
Assign and review practice materials, homework, and assessments
Provide individualized feedback to help students improve performance
Foster a positive, encouraging, and academically rigorous classroom environment
Collaborate with our educational team to maintain high instructional standards
Contract Details:
Contract term: July 6 – August 18
