Elementary Special Educator

Elementary Special Educator Teacher- Pembroke Public Schools (Hobomock Elementary School)

1.Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification in area assigned.

2.Master’s Degree or higher preferred.  

3.Experience providing instruction in an educational setting in the content area and grade level assigned.

4.Strong written and verbal communication skills.

5.Demonstrated competency with classroom management.

6.Competency in Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Maintain currency in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. 
2.Plan and deliver appropriate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. 
3.Demonstrate the ability to use a wide variety of instructional strategies as supported by research and identified as current best practice. 
4.Incorporate meaningful pre and post-assessment into teaching. 
5.Implement accommodations to enable individual learners to access instruction. 
6.Maintain a positive learning climate in the classroom. 
7.Implement flexible differentiated instruction to engage all learners. 
8.Engage students in taking ownership of their individual learning.
