Legal Personal Assistant

Introduction

I am Kimberly E. McAdoo, Founding Attorney and Owner of McAdoo Estate Planning, LLC. I am searching for an effective and efficient individual who can support me in a variety of ways. This includes answering phones, performing clerical duties, and interfacing between me and the rest of the staff. This role requires attention to detail and discretion.

 

We have two locations. On any given day, I could be at one or both of them. Therefore, the person I hire will need to be prepared to be in the location where I am on any given day.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Personal Assistant based in Garden City, NY and Jamaica Estates, Queens. The Legal Personal Assistant will support daily operations by performing tasks such as managing the Founding Attorney's schedule, assisting her in preparing legal documents, overseeing diary management, and performing general clerical duties. The role requires close collaboration with the Founding Attorney to ensure smooth workflow and excellent client service.

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Personal Assistance and Diary Management
  • Familiarity with legal practices, terminology, and Legal Document Preparation
  • Strong Clerical Skills, including organization and attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in office software, including Word, Excel, and legal management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of estate planning practices is a plus
  • High school diploma required; additional legal or administrative certifications are a plus
