Job Summary
The Business Analytics Associate is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing store sales data to support day-to-day operations and business planning at GUIJI. This role produces regular reports and dashboards that help leadership understand revenue trends, product performance, customer traffic patterns, and the effectiveness of marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and able to communicate findings clearly to both operational and non-technical audiences. A background or interest in accounting is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Clean, organize, and maintain sales data to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Build and maintain a dashboard tracking daily/weekly revenue trends, top-selling items, low-performing items, and weekday vs. weekend performance
- Identify weekly top and bottom 5 selling drinks and flag slow vs. busy store periods
- Analyze sales by time of day, day of week, and peak hours to support staffing and operations
- Monitor inventory turnover and contribute to purchasing and waste-reduction decisions
- Measure sales performance before and after marketing campaigns and promotions
- Develop forecasts for scheduling, inventory, and sales to support planning and goal-setting
- Present findings clearly to store management and leadership in regular reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, charts, formulas)
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, comfortable working with messy, incomplete data
- Clear communicator who can translate data findings for non-technical audiences
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-directed
Nice to have:
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
- Familiarity with SQL or Python/R; accounting or financial reporting background
- Food & beverage or retail experience
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
Additional Information
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $25–28/hour depending on experience
Work Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA, USA
Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of the office location and are responsible for their own transportation.
