Positions: 0.4 FTE 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher – Lynden Academy
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with Elementary Education endorsement
- Additional endorsements in Math and Science, preferred.
- Possess energy and enthusiasm
- Work collaboratively with other district educators
- Successful experience working with high school students
- Demonstration of positive experience teaming and working with others
- Successful experience using effective teaching strategies for students who speak English as their second language
- Knowledge of Common Core Standards
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work Year: 2026-27 school year; continuing position
FTE: 0.40 FTE
Hours: 7.0 hours per day; 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Schedule to be determined
Starting Date: August 26, 2026
Salary: Per negotiated LEA contract. 25/26 salary range for 1.0 FTE is $ 69,031 - $ 136,249 dependent upon degree, credits, and school district teaching experience. Pay will be pro-rated based upon actual FTE.
Benefits: This position does not qualify for healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, or vacation benefits. Employee qualifies for up to 12 days of sick leave, and up to three (3) days of personal leave per school year. (Days of sick leave and personal leave are prorated based on employee start date.)
