About the Position
Birch Agency is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary Teachers (grades 3rd-5th) to support students in a school-based setting in Rockford, IL for the 2026-27 school year.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging instruction aligned with state standards
Develop lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated learning activities
Support reading comprehension, writing development, grammar, and vocabulary
Collaborate with grade-level team members, administrators, and support staff
Maintain accurate student records, progress monitoring, and classroom documentation
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Qualifications
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for the position.
Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills
Ability to support diverse learners and adapt instruction as needed
