Pre-K Teacher
Salisbury Presbyterian Preschool (SPP) is a part day preschool program in Midlothian providing a play-based education to children aged 24 months to 5 years of age. We have operated in the Midlothian area since 1984 and we pride ourselves in providing a safe and loving environment for our students to grow and learn.
SPP is looking for a Lead Pre-K Teacher that has a passion for working with young children. Our teachers must be able to perform the following:
- Prepare daily lesson plans.
- Enrich daily programs in a variety of ways utilizing the best methods of teaching and aids available.
- Pass all background checks.
- Give each child the attention needed to assure his or her best welfare.
- Present a warm and friendly classroom environment to children and families.
- Clear communication skills both verbal and written
Our ideal candidate has:
- Their CDA or working towards a degree in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- An interest/excitement towards the learning process for young children.
- Understands developmentally appropriate practices with this group.
- Work cooperatively with assistant teacher.
- (Classroom management experience is a plus)
Most importantly, we are looking for an individual who sees the fun in working with young children and recognizes the excitement of learning this group possesses. We have teachers that have stayed with us for nearly 40 years and we can’t wait to hear from you!
