INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN TRAINEE / SUMMER MAINTENANCE INTERN

POSITION INFORMATION

Schedule: First Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time Career Placement or Summer Internship

Hydra-Matic is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in the fabrication, slitting, converting, warehousing, and distribution of industrial fiberglass products used in filtration, battery, healthcare, acoustical, insulation, and specialty industrial applications.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• Industrial equipment troubleshooting
• Mechanical repair techniques
• Electrical troubleshooting
• PLC fundamentals and troubleshooting
• Industrial sensors and machine controls
• Reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Pneumatic systems
• Motor controls and VFDs
• Preventative maintenance programs
• Root cause analysis and problem solving
• Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Manufacturing reliability practices

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with preventative maintenance activities
• Support troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment
• Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Assist with equipment installations and upgrades
• Participate in equipment inspections and TPM activities
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation
• Follow all company safety procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school or related education preferred
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good attendance and work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• PLCs
• Sensors and low-voltage controls
• Pneumatic systems
• Electrical troubleshooting
• Motor controls
• Industrial automation

• Welding or fabrication
