Investment Banking Analyst

SHEUMACK GMA is a closely-held specialized investment banking and advisory firm delivering independent strategic and financial advice to companies, entrepreneurs, board directors and institutional investors operating in the global financial services industry. 

The SHEUMACK GMA Investment Banking Analyst Internship ("IBAI") program presents an opportunity for talented and disciplined students with career aspirations in global finance to engage in part-time applied field experience.  

The Internship position is onsite from our New York, NY Headquarters (midtown Manhattan), requiring consecutive days totaling 20-25 hours per week of onsite training and experience. The IBAI program is designed to provide collegiate students with an experiential learning opportunity with practical application and skills development in a professional environment. The IBAI position is for the Fall of 2026 with the opportunity for a Winter/Spring 2027 IBAI internship. 

We are considering incoming junior and senior year finance students only.  We are looking for candidates who desire a team culture of collaborative technical learning, an opportunity to contribute to project-based teams and to thrive in an analytically driven and content rich environment. Our interns are provided with an opportunity to demonstrate their aptitude for financial concepts and principles, intellectual curiosity, dexterity and attention to detail, and potential for technical skills development. Opportunities for IBAI positions are available in both our corporate strategic advisory services ("CSAS") and/or research, reference and analytics institute ("RRAI") business units.  

Qualifications: 

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business only 

Team player with the ability to collaborate, communicate and deliver solution-based results 

Excellent financial, data analysis, and research skills 

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 

High level of integrity and enduring work ethic
