Portfolio Analyst

Position Overview

RockCreek is seeking a Portfolio Analyst with strong analytical and technical capabilities to support portfolio analysis, client reporting, and process innovation initiatives. This individual will play a key role in producing high-quality client deliverables while also leveraging modern data and AI tools to improve processes, automate workflows, and enhance the depth and efficiency of portfolio analytics. Primary Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analyses of client investment portfolios and prepare client-specific reports, presentations, and other deliverables.
• Develop and maintain recurring client reporting materials, including monthly and quarterly reporting packages.
• Respond to client, portfolio manager, and internal stakeholder requests by conducting portfolio analyses and generating actionable insights.
• Partner with investment, operations, and technology teams to develop scalable reporting solutions and improve data accessibility.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies to enhance reporting efficiency, analytical capabilities, and client service.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and effectively.
• 1+ years of experience in investment management, financial services, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Python, and SQL.
• Experience using modern AI tools and large language models to improve workflows, automate processes, or generate analytical insights.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset focused on continuous process improvement and innovation.
• High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
