Previous experience teaching Biology, Physics, AP, Honors, college-level, or related science courses is preferred.
Local candidates preferred.

Young Scholars Institute (YSI) offers individualized tutoring and college counseling for K–12 students. We provide one-on-one and small-group instruction across a wide range of academic subjects, including Honors, AP, and college-level courses. Our team develops customized learning plans tailored to each student's unique academic goals and learning style. Our mission is to help students achieve academic excellence and long-term success.
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Flexible scheduling available within these hours
Responsibilities
- Teach Biology and/or Physics to middle school, high school, and college-preparatory students
- Provide support for Honors, AP, and advanced science coursework
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to student needs
- Track student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents
- Foster a positive and engaging learning environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Physics, Science Education, or a related field
- Previous teaching, tutoring, or instructional experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
- Availability during some of the hours listed above (not required to work the full schedule)
