Description

About Ineffable Films

Ineffable Films is a nonprofit on a mission to open the film industry to emerging and underserved storytellers. We do it through mentorship, festival access, hands-on education, and community screenings, with work that stretches from San Diego to New York to a creative partnership in Bandung, Indonesia. Our social media is how we reach the next generation of filmmakers, and we want it to look as bold and original as the stories we tell.

The Role

We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to create eye-catching visuals for our social media channels. You will design the posts, graphics, and assets that carry our mission across Instagram, LinkedIn, and beyond. This is a hands-on creative role where your work goes live and gets seen by a real, growing audience.

What you'll do

  • Design original graphics for social media posts, stories, and campaigns
  • Help build a consistent, recognizable visual identity across our channels
  • Create assets for events, screenings, film series, and program launches
  • Adapt designs across formats and platforms
  • Collaborate with our marketing and social media leads on content that lands

What you'll walk away with

  • A real portfolio of published work for a mission-driven brand
  • Experience designing for an active, multi-platform social presence
  • Mentorship and creative feedback from our marketing team
  • A meaningful credit on a project that reaches filmmakers around the world
  • A flexible, remote-friendly schedule that works around your classes

Who we're looking for

  • Someone with a strong eye for layout, type, and color
  • Comfort in design tools like Canva, Figma, or the Adobe suite
  • A sense of visual storytelling and brand consistency
  • Reliability, self-direction, and excitement for film and culture
  • No degree required. We care about your eye and your work, not your resume

How to apply

Send a short note about why this mission excites you, along with a portfolio or a few samples of your work.
