Director of Nursing

The Mercer County Health District seeks a full-time Director of Nursing.  this position plans, administers, and supervises public health nursing operations.  The Director of Nursing represents the Health Services Division in various interactions with public officials, civic and professional groups, and the community.  

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN), nursing administration public health or directly related field from an accredited college or university preferred.  Minimum five years of experience in public health nursing with progressive level of responsibility including 2 years of supervision and direction of others or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  Must have ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, printer, telephone, copier, fax machine, etc…)

Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio.  Must maintain a valid State of Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability according to Mercer County policy.  The following will be required within six months of hire:  completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) / Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800 and 120A certifications, OPHCS and MARCS training, registered in Ohio Train, Ohio Responds, and Impact SIIS.
