Summer Internship: TRANSPORTATION
The internship position assists our Project Engineers and Project Managers. JSE’s goal is to mold that position to your interests, and your strengths, while accommodating our current needs. In the past, interns have been trained in MicroStation and have assisted with researching, calculating, data entry, filing, etc.

Entry-Level / Full-Time:
JSE is seeking Entry Level Road Design Project Engineers with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a concentration in transportation. Experience in civil design for roadway projects is desired but not required. JSE projects include but are not limited to:
- Interstates, Highways and Freeways
- Urban streets
- Various Intersections Including Roundabouts
- Interchange Layout
Job Description:
- Create civil design plans for road and hydraulic design projects
- Model road designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ensure AASHTO codes, INDOT design manual requirements, and design standards are followed
- Meet deadlines and cost targets
- Maintain required project documentation
- Accept additional responsibilities as trainings progress
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- FE/EIT Preferred
- Strong Time management skills
- Efficient analysis and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Adequate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Considerable listening and communication skills
