POS Documentation & QA Testing Specialist

About Us

We are developing a next-generation Point of Sale (POS) platform designed for retail, restaurant, and hospitality businesses. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to help create comprehensive documentation and perform thorough testing of our POS system before deployment.

Responsibilities

Documentation

  • Create user manuals, setup guides, and training materials.
  • Document POS features, workflows, and configurations.
  • Develop installation and troubleshooting guides.
  • Maintain and update product documentation as new features are released.
  • Create screenshots, diagrams, and step-by-step instructions.

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Execute functional testing of POS software and hardware integrations.
  • Test sales transactions, refunds, discounts, loyalty programs, and reporting.
  • Verify compatibility with printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, payment terminals, and scales.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects.
  • Perform regression testing after bug fixes and updates.
  • Validate user experience and workflow efficiency.

Reporting

  • Create detailed bug reports and testing documentation.
  • Work closely with developers and product teams to resolve issues.
  • Provide recommendations for product improvements.

Requirements

  • Experience in software testing, QA, or technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to write clear and concise documentation.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, retail operations, or restaurant technology is a plus.
  • Experience with bug-tracking tools and test case management.
  • Strong communication and organizational skill
