Racquet Media: Pro Shop Associate (Part-Time)

• Location: CityView Racquet Club, Long Island City, NY
• Schedule: ~15 hours per week with required availability on weekends (12-4pm) 
• Compensation: $20/hour

About the Role

Racquet is seeking a part-time Pro Shop Associate to lead daily operations at our new retail space inside CityView Racquet Club, a premier destination for tennis, padel, and squash in New York City. This is a front-facing, hospitality-driven role at the intersection of sport, culture, and community. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for members and guests, ensuring a seamless retail and event experience while representing the Racquet brand on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily pro shop operations, including merchandise processing, inventory tracking, and POS checkout.
• Support merchandising and visual presentation, ensuring the shop always reflects Racquet’s elevated aesthetic.
• Support Racquet mission to engage and grow community.
• Receive and coordinate string jobs, and prepare racquets for stringing.

• Assist with Racquet’s e-commerce operations, including online order/subscription fulfillment and inventory sync.
• Drive business development through event lead generation and member engagement (corporate events, brand activations, etc.).
• Support the Racquet Final 8 Concierge, helping deliver high-touch service to visiting guests and partners.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of tennis is required. Knowledge of padel and/or squash is a plus
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for managing multiple tasks smoothly.
• A racquet sport enthusiast who appreciates the intersection of sport, style, and community.
• Strong hospitality instincts — able to make members feel welcomed and taken care of.
• Outgoing and proactive personality, comfortable in a social, fast-paced environment.
• Must be available weekends (Saturday & Sunday, 12–4pm); flexibility for additional weekday hours is a bonus.
