Round Rock ISD is looking for dynamic School Librarians to join our campuses. In this role, you will serve as a teacher, research resources expert, and vital instructional partner, integrating the library directly into the academic fabric of our schools. 

About the Role: 

As a School Librarian, you will facilitate and maintain a modern campus library program. This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner with classroom educators, design engaging research opportunities, and provide resources that empower students to effectively locate, evaluate, and use information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Partnership: Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate information literacy and research techniques into core subject areas.  
• Library Management: Coordinate the acquisition, processing, organization, inventory, and budget process for all campus library materials. 
• Literacy Promotion: Cultivate a vibrant reading culture through special programs, including book fairs, author visits, and storytelling.  
• Digital Leadership: Model and train staff on integrating 21st  century technology into the curriculum and using technology as a powerful learning tool.  
• Staff Guidance: Supervise library support personnel, student aides, and volunteers while providing mentorship to new campus educators. 

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate.
• Valid Texas Library Endorsement or Library Certificate.
• Three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Proficiency with standard database, spreadsheet, and library information retrieval systems.
