Coordinator of Adult Formation

Job Title:            Coordinator of Adult Formation, Women’s Ministries and Youth

Reports To:        Director of Evangelization, Family Life and Pastoral Ministry

FLSA Status:      Full-Time Exempt

Summary: The Coordinator of Adult Formation, Women’s Ministries and Youth is responsible for effective strategic planning, coordination and delivery of ministry efforts for the Adults of the parish, including oversight of Women’s Ministry Efforts. The Coordinator will assist in planning of our overall evangelization efforts while playing a point person role accompanying female disciple makers and evaluating formation options specific to women including leadership of our Youth Formation for Junior High and High School Young Ladies.

This person of faith is both a pastoral minister who possesses a vision of how St. Louis de Montfort Church can develop its potential and a professional who has an active faith and translates the faith and action for others by promoting the Gospel and growth in holiness through the creation of engaging programs and approaches to draw parishioners into a relationship with Christ and to share their faith with others.

Essential Functions:

Evangelization

  • Contribute to the Evangelization Approach at SLDM
    • Coordinate with Director of Evangelization and Pastor on ways to engage our parishioners and approach evangelization at our parish.
    • Consider ways to enhance our approach with ReachMore to develop a community of mission minded people.
  • Primary Lead for Women’s Accompaniment
    • Discern prayerfully the men and women who are ready for an enhanced formation for disciple makers.
    • Facilitate formation sessions to develop skills and confidence with participants.
    • Accompany selected men through 1:1 shepherding to foster a life of mission focusing on Prayer, Community and Mission.
    • Lead other women point people in developing approaches to encourage graduates of ReachMore to live out their personal apostolate.

Adult Formation and Prayer

  • Adult Formation and Ministry Efforts
    • Build relationships with adults in the parish to better understand the needs, concerns, challenges and possibilities for their faith formation.
    • Lead efforts to share the Rescue Project with the adults of our parish across full parish nights and small group opportunities.
    • Provide other Catholic formation, speaker, bible studies, and small group opportunities including oversight for Barstool Theology and Marriage Enrichment.
    • Coordinate Spiritual growth opportunities including our prayer chain, consecrations and other prayer opportunities.
    • Collaborate with local parishes and diocesan efforts.
  • Women’s Focus Lead
    • Build relationships with women of the parish to better understand the needs, concerns, challenges, and possibilities for their faith formation.
    • Coordinate with leaders of women’s ministry efforts including Magnify 90, Mary’s Way and additional opportunities identified.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance the ministry efforts for women to draw them into a deeper relationship with Christ and a sisterhood of women at SLDM.
  • Parish Leadership
    • Cultivate and grow a spirt of leadership within our adult community to provide meaningful formation and ministries for our parishioners.
    • Develop teams and collaborate on ministry efforts to engage the generosity of our parishioners providing opportunities to lead initiatives and events at our parish.

Youth Ministry (Young Ladies)

  • Lead Youth Formation with Fidelis
    • Develop Fidelis nights to engage our middle school and high school students with virtue-based formation.
    • Collaborate with Fraternus leadership and Fiat leadership to develop a comprehensive approach for our youth.
  • Develop Leaders for Youth Ministry
    • Recruit adult mentors who have the gifts to engage with youth.
    • Accompany adult mentors to build their faith and ability to engage youth.
    • Create an environment of servant leadership (parish, community, and beyond)

Parish-wide Efforts

  • SLDM Community Events
    • Contribute ideas and planning for ministry needs across St. Louis de Montfort.
    • Provide support for our community events including Fall Festival, SLDM Feast Day and Corpus Christi Procession
    • Be an active participant in the Faith Formation team

Administrative Tasks

  • Manage budget for each target audience to ensure fiscally responsible planning and spending.
  • Maintain records of attendance and other records for target audience.
  • Communicate and promote activities to engage target audiences to the activities.

Education/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Catholic Theology or equivalent. 
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing. 
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and volunteers. 
  • Able to honor and maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess respect for and ability to uphold Catholic Church teaching. 
  • Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols.
