Position Information
Position Title: Web Master & Graphic Design Student Assistant IV (Seeking Undergraduate 
Student)
Job Function: Web Design & Graphic Design
Job Purpose: To assist C-STEM Center with their webpage and webpage design and graphic 
design 
Job Description:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and secure web applications within SiteFarm/WordPress to 
improve the online collaboration between the C-STEM Center and its users. Applications 
developed and supported in this position include a teacher management application, digital 
content distribution application, on-line registration and associated databases, and forum. Student 
will design flyers, logos, brochures, forms and other graphic and visual materials that will be 
posted on the website and used for general C-STEM needs. Student will also assist in general 
lab activities, support special activities as needed such as C-STEM Conference, C-STEM 
Symposium, and other events/projects and administrative projects involving google search and 
compiling data, create and update records and databases, sending out mass email 
communications, and other projects as requested.
Qualifications: (Seeking an Undergraduate Student)
Student must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in designing 
web sites and developing web-based applications using HTML and CSS is a must. 
SiteFarm/WordPress experience, as well as JS, AJAX, and SQL is a plus, but not necessary. Be 
comfortable reading through other people's code. Have experience setting up and running local 
development environments. Be flexible to major changes in site design and ability to implement 
quickly and efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in or ability and 
willingness to quickly learn to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to design and modify 
existing designs/logos, flyers, and other visual materials. Be willing and flexible to work on 
various administrative projects.
