Application Technical Specialist I

 

  • Job Title: Application Technical Specialist I.
  • Location: 935 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917.
  • This is a Technology rollout call center, so all our assignments involve taking or making calls for multiple technology projects.
  • We also provide first level trouble shooting support to contractors/vendors on-site implementing the hardware.
  • This position involves taking calls from technicians / vendors / contractors who are implementing technology in the stores (This is not a typical customer / consumer call center.).
  • This Job Posting is for an 8-hour shift that could fluctuate to accommodate night-time projects and different time zones.
  • Paid Training is 5 days a week onsite in the office.
  • Training shift times may differ for each candidate, but will be communicated prior to starting.
  • START DATE MAY BE SOONER THAN SPECIFIED.

Responsibilities

  • Taking or making calls for multiple technology projects.
  • Providing first level trouble shooting support to contractors/vendors on-site implementing the hardware.
  • Taking calls from technicians / vendors / contractors who are implementing technology in the stores.
  • Receiving calls through a queue and making out-bound calls as required.
  • Updating a tracking application and performing system validations as calls are handled.
  • Providing updates via email, Excel etc. when not handling calls.
  • Handling multiple technical rollout projects simultaneously.
  • Providing on-site field technicians first level technical support for troubleshooting issues encountered in stores during technology implementation / upgrades and ensuring project implementation protocols are followed.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1-year relevant work experience needed.
  • A Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must possess clear, accurately and tactful, communication both verbally and written.
  • Possess basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • IT hardware installation experience preferred, but not required.

Work Schedule

  • Monday-Friday 4:00AM - 12:30PM.
  • This Job Posting is for an 8-hour shift that could fluctuate to accommodate night-time projects and different time zones.
  • You must be willing to move around your shift times as required by project needs.
  • Advanced notice will be given to you if your shift is changing.
