WalkEZ TalkEZ Pediatric and Adult Therapy is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a position. We offer a full-time position in a private practice setting with benefits, working in collaboration with other SLP, PT, and OT professionals.

Located in Frisco, TX, WalkEZ TalkEZ (walk-ease talk-ease) proudly serves the families of lovely Collin and Denton County. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The speech-language pathologist (SLP) is expected to assist, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and social communication delays and disorders. In this position, you will gain mentorship and experience with feeding and swallowing disorders, myofunctional therapy, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The SLP will provide formal evaluations and daily progress notes, and communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, to ensure the quality of all services is up to the ACT's standard.

Pediatric Experience Preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Licensure as an SLP from the State of Texas, Department of Professional Regulation.
  • Experience working with early intervention and with special needs is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to understand directions and communicate with clients.
  • Ability to physically move about the building.
  • Ability to lift and position clients (30-80lbs) if assigned to a patient with such requirements.
  • Ability to make minor decisions with minimal supervision following established procedures and use basic safety skills for all patients and staff.
  • Training (CPR) and applying training in crises including patient restraints if needed for their safety.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders.
  • Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
  • Treat speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
  • Keep detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress using Mac and Windows platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from many other disciplines.
