Administrative Fellowship Program
The University of Texas Medical Center Administrative Fellowship Program offers a dynamic two-year leadership development experience for emerging healthcare administration professionals seeking to shape the future of a rapidly expanding academic medical center at Dell Medical School and The University of Texas Dell Medical Center at Austin. The fellowship is designed as a structured professional development program that combines executive mentorship, rotational operational exposure, project-based learning, and progressive management responsibility intended to support long-term leadership development within academic healthcare administration.
The program includes project-based activities, longitudinal leadership development, and independent management experience incorporating exposure to all facets of academic healthcare operations. Fellows will work closely with executive and operational leaders across strategy and business development, clinical operations, quality improvement, finance, information technology, human resources, medical education, research and innovation, and community partnerships.
During the first year, fellows will participate in a broad range of enterprise initiatives designed to provide foundational understanding of healthcare operations within an evolving academic health system environment. The second year deepens involvement through an interim management role aligned with both the fellow’s professional interests and organizational priorities. Throughout the fellowship, participants will receive ongoing mentorship and executive exposure while contributing to the transformation of healthcare delivery, operations, and patient experience across the organization.
