Infant Teacher
TLC Academy for Young Children is seeking a caring, dependable, and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where infants can learn, grow, and thrive.
Previous experience working with children is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine love for caring for infants.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months.
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Follow daily schedules including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime routines.
- Support each child's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress.
- Maintain accurate records of feedings, diaper changes, naps, and developmental milestones.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
- Follow all Ohio state licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with children preferred.
- Experience in a childcare center, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or related field is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, patient, and compassionate.
- Must be able to pass required background checks and complete state-required training.
