About Origami Robotics
We're solving dexterous manipulation by building our own robotic hand, data collection device, and models for physical AI. We're backed by Y Combinator and working with leading robotics labs including Amazon. We just moved into a 13,000 sq ft space in South Park with a full open robot workspace on the first floor. It's a small, fast-moving team where your work has real impact from day one.
The Role
We just moved into a big new space, and we need someone to help us actually make it run. We're looking for a scrappy, super-organized, people-first person to keep our San Francisco office humming day to day — stocking the kitchen, coordinating vendors, getting new hires set up, and being the person who notices when something's off and just... fixes it.
This isn't a sit-at-a-desk job. You'll be on your feet, bouncing between things, and making the office a place people actually want to come to. If you like bringing order to chaos and getting your hands dirty, this is for you.
What You'll Do
- Keep our SF office running smoothly day to day
- Work with our designer to help set up and bring the new space to life
- Handle facilities stuff — maintenance requests, upkeep, and landlord coordination
- Be the go-to for building issues (HVAC, access, repairs, whatever comes up)
- Manage vendors across supplies, meals, services, and maintenance
- Get new hires set up for day one — desk ready, access sorted, smooth landing
- Help with basic office tech and tools (devices, access systems, looping in outside help when needed)
- Run office systems like badge access and Ring
- Own meals, snacks, and keeping the kitchen stocked
- Handle mail, deliveries, and packages
- Let in visitors, deliveries, and service folks
- Keep the place clean, organized, and welcoming
- Spot gaps before they become problems and solve them without being told
Let's Talk If You
- Are crazy organized and sweat the details
- Can juggle a bunch of things at once and keep it all moving in a fast environment
- Are resourceful and self-directed — you figure out what needs doing and do it
- Like being hands-on with the nitty-gritty of running a space
- Communicate clearly and are easy to work with
- Have a roll-up-your-sleeves, jump-in-anywhere attitude
- Are handy and practical when stuff needs fixing
Bonus Points
- You've done office/ops or front-desk work before (internship, part-time, club, whatever counts)
- You've planned events or team gatherings
- You've helped with an office move, build-out, or new space setup
- You know your way around Slack, Google Workspace, badge systems, or Ring
