Foster Youth Programs Unclassified Paid Intern (UPI)
 

Requirements: 
• Be available to work flexible 15-20 hours per week
• Must be enrolled as a full-time upper division or graduate student at an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship
 

Compensation: 
This is a temporary paid internship contingent upon funding, $20.29 per hour 
 

Responsibilities
• Recruit and inform students about our program services 
• Conduct orientation and workshops 
• Assistance with UC, CSU, & Private University applications 
• Assistance with financial aid applications 
• Classroom Presentations on available services 
• Phone banking and email message outreach to students 
• Data collection and reporting 
• Provide assistance to students via our virtual platform (chat availability)
• Assist Counselors with other duties as assigned

• Assist in foster youth outreach and recruitment
• Assist counselors in supporting students on probation
• Assist and conducting workshops

o Distance learning
o Time management 
o Study skills 
o Financial planning 
• Assistance with the coordination of program events 
• Update and manage our social media accounts
• Mentoring of former foster youth 
• Program intake and workshops 
• Lead student success workshops for programs
• Assistance with special events and program activities
