School of Nursing Work Study

Position Summary:

The School of Nursing is seeking a creative and motivated Work Study Student to support its social media and marketing efforts. This role is ideal for a student passionate about healthcare, education, and community engagement, who wants to help highlight the achievements, events, and student life within the School of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling content for the School of Nursing’s social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok)
  • Help capture photos and videos at nursing-related events
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and mentions; assist with community engagement.
  • Help create promotional flyers and other presentations

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible for the Federal Work Study Program. Must include proof of FWS eligibility and acceptance of the award in submission materials.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.).
  • Interest in nursing, healthcare, or health sciences is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable attending events and interacting with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of branding and marketing in professional communications.
  • Experience in photography, video and editing software.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Skills – PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
